SALOMAT VAFO

 

         Salomat Vafo, one of the well known Uzbek woman writers, was born on January 20, 1966 in Kharezm region. She graduated from Faculty of Journalism at the National University of Uzbekistan. She published many collections of narratives and short-stories, including "Farida', "A woman seeking for herself", and "Angel of soul". Her last novel "Empire of mystery" enriched Uzbek literature with descriptive objects. Video films titled "Unreal wishes of love" and "A white shirt" were made on the basis of S. Vafo's works. Her stories were translated into Russian, German and English languages. She is a member of Writers Association of Uzbekistan. S. Vafo prepared many programs for Uzbekistan TV channels from Germany , France and many other European countries. Now she works for TV channel "Yoshlar". S. Vafo receives email at salomatvafo@mail.ru
