The creators of this website are an informal consortium of people living in Uzbekistan who are interested in promoting the beautiful poetry and writings of this ancient land. To flourish we believe that our world needs poets, writers and translators who can write from the heart of their experiences. We want to honour our greatest predecessor Alisher Navoi and his message of mystical love, acceptance of the other and justice for all. We want to promote our contemporary writers who are from Uzbekistan. Hopefully they can be read beyond their borders. We also want to encourage the translation of valuable texts between Uzbekistan and other nations. It is important that we learn from each other not just through the media's eyes, but also through the hearts of each nations' writers.
